Proper packaging material selection can make the difference between a product that performs properly and one that does not. PETE (Polyethylene Terephthalate)

Virgin, Recycled (post consumer and industrial), Static Dissipative,

Attributes:
– Typically clear with good impact resistance. Recyclable.
– Typically used in applications such as Blister Packs, Clamshells, Trays, & Covers.
– Temperature range 10° to 150°F

 

HDPE, HMWPE (High Density Polyethylene)

Virgin, Recycled, UL
*FDA – approved available.
Attributes:
– Excellent chemical resistances. High tensile strength. Recyclable.
– Typically used in applications such as Clamshells, Trays, Totes, Bins, Containers, Pallets, Covers, OEM Enclosures, Guards, Panels.
– Temperature range up to 140°F

 

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)

Attributes:
– Good clarity and impact strength.
– Recyclable.
– Typically used in applications such as Blister Packs, Clamshells, Trays, & Covers.

KYDEX (Acrylic – Polyvinyl Alloy)

Attributes:
– Alternative to FR ABS
– Recyclable.
– Typically used in applications such as OEM Enclosures, Guards, Covers, & Panels.
– Temperature range up to 160°F

 

PP (Polypropylene)

Attributes:

PS, HIPS (Polystyrene)

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)

Attributes:
– High Impact and heat resistance. High gloss. Recyclable.
– Typically used in applications such as Covers, Trays, Guards, Hoods, Endcaps & Fascias.

Not commonly run by us, but provided as a benchmark against other materials and as a potential option where appropriate.
Attributes:
– Made from annually renewable resources. Compostable. Good visual properties.
– Typically used in applications such as Blister Packs, Clamshells, Trays.
– Temperature range up to 110°F
